i swear...
if i cut these out of my diet,
i'd probably lose like a million pounds.
but noooo :)

and also.
i'm pretty sure i have the friends that i have so that i can help balance them out.
most of my good friends get like *CRAZY* stressed.
and i don't know hardly anything about stress.
so i'm just here to remind them that even if they fail at school,
they won't fail at life.
and.
they won't even fail at school,
so where's the big deal, really?
non-existent :)

not that they listen to me.
but hey.
that's my philosophy and i'll share it with a stressing buddy any day of the week :)

3 weeks...
just 3 more weeks and then i'll be enjoying summer...

hmm.

i guess if i were to actually do a post every day, maybe...
but nope.

i'm just posting whenever i feel like it.

and my day.

well.
i skipped 2 out of 3 classes today.
i was trying desperately to finish an 8 page paper.
failed.
only made it to 6.

went to writing class.

came to blog.

in a few hours i'm going out to dinner for my sister's birthday :)

and then a few hours after that, i'm going over to her house for a surprise dessert party! :)

and i'm hopefully not doing any more homework for the duration of
MY LIFE
because i'm so sick of it.

good news?
only 11 more days of classes :)

i love my life a little bit :)

ode to cereal

since coming to college, i've discovered something.

cereal.
is delicious.

i think i actually eat it for every meal sometimes.
and definitely anytime i want an after-school snack.
or a midnight snack.
or a pre-dinner snack.
really just anytime. :)

because like i said,
cereal is delicious.

so the thing about cereal...
you could just eat it forever.

in fact, i think that's why the infinity symbol exists.
i mean, look!

it's basically a bowl with a spoon sticking out from underneath if you look at it really hard.......

but anyways--you basically end up eating it forever.
because when you run out of cereal, there is still milk.
so you gotta pour more cereal!
and then you put too much cereal....
so you gotta get more milk!

and the cycle goes on and on.

yeahhhh don't even worry about it.
apparently i just think about cereal all the time.
i'm soooo interesting.

so.
i tried blogging like 2 weeks ago.
tried to include pics from my trip to hawaii.

but alas, it did not work.
blogs are too temperamental.
the key words being "temper" and "mental"...
therefore i am not posting that blog because it is basically lame without the pics.

but in other news!!

it's a new semester! :D
and i'm loving all of my classes
i'm even loving all my homework, although it never seems to end...
it is my goal for the semester to actually LEARN.
not just store, regurgitate, and then lose forever.
haha :)
so it's quite fun to actually learn :)

also.
i'm applying for a study abroad in New York!!!
ahh it sounds amazing!!
english classes, side trips to boston, palmyra, and DC...
let alone staying in manhattan!!
but.
i have to apply.
and make it.
which is possibly a long shot.
but.
i'm wishinghopingthinkingpraying :)

haha so i had a friend tell me my blog was inspirational.
i don't really get that, since i've only had maybe 2 inspirational blogs...
but hey.
why not include a little inspiration in every blog?
so here's today's inspiration!

life is good :D

i am LOVING being home with nothing to worry about except fitting as much fun as possible into this week before i leave for HAWAII!
i just love having no homework and no huge responsibilities!
and it's great to just be with my family :)
i sure love them!

ahh but i have too many people i have to see during the break,

and only like 5 more days to do it!
so i gotta figure that out.

and since it is snowing profusely, i think i should make a snowman at some point.
since i've only ever made one in my entire life.

soo. yeah.
basically i'm just so happy with life and happy to be home!
and happy to be heading to sunshine and beaches in just 5 short days!

it starts

what is starting?

...you may ask
well let me just tell you.
COLLEGE! :D

it started with FOL [[foundations of leadership]] this past week...
FOL was seriously amazing.

i had an awesome group and we bonded super fast...
there were great lessons and activities...
and i'm basically super pumped up for school to start!

and it starts TOMORROW!
i'm so excited to start taking classes and meeting people!

but i think this is the end of my facebook/blogging/tv watching life...
because i'll be super busy writing papers and socializing and yeahh...i'm super excited! :)

anyways...tonight i had an awesome conversation
with my best friend mauricio eduardo laguan.
i love that kid.
i love having deep conversations like we had tonight :)
he's awesome haha :)

OH!
and elder andrew paul dalley is gonna be a great missionary!
i went to his farewell today and bascially bawled my eyes out?
idk why....but i love that boy haha he's such a great friend and i wish him the best :)

update on life

fact: it's been a while.
therefore i am here to update on my life!

so have you ever heard of vacationing in your own home?
no hotel.
no change of scenery.
just staying home...
well that's one thing i've done lately.
who thinks of these things? honestly...
but, it was actually fun because my wholeeee family was here except for my missionary brother, so it was nice to get to spend time together and play together :)
not to mention my nieces and nephew are so dang cute!!
except that naomi hates me, i'm pretty dang sure.
although.
i'm unsure as to why?
oh well.
:)

then yesterday...
i had a grand adventure!
i went on a cousins date :)
me and my cousins, kalynn and aaron,
each invited someone to go on a triple date with us :)
we first made some pizza which was
DELICIOUS.
and then we went to a drive-in movie!!

i had never been to a drive-in movie, but let me just tell you.
they're legit!
haha it was so fun :)

except.

dumbest movie ever.

seriously.
who even thought of that gay plot line??

but moving on.
literally.
moving on-- well actually more like moving out :)
i've been moving some stuff into my new appartment this week...
and the appartment is sooo cute!!
i'm quite excited to move out!

but more about moving on...
it's weird.

thinking about leaving high school behind...
leaving old friends behind...
making new friends...
and i'm scared to lose dear friends who have meant so much to me throughout high school, all because of a little distance...

life truly is so strange.
but makes so much sense.
high school was a chapter in my life, and now it's over.
it's time to move on, and start a new chapter.

it's just a little scary, sometimes.
not knowing how things will change, or when.
but all things work together for your good...
so i guess i just need to trust and hope.

life will work itself out.
even if it doesn't happen today.
or tomorrow.
it will happen.
so i can trust until then

when i grow up

so i have this little paper thing i found yesterday...
it's in the shape of a star, has a picture of me in the middle,
and each point has a little tid bit of information about me.
oh yeah, and it's from 1996...
when i was 4 years old :)


the five points of the star say:

~pizza is her favorite food~

~"teach me to walk in the light" is her favorite primary song~

~her book of mormon hero is sariah (because she is a woman)~

~dressing up is what she loves to do~

and last.

~she wants to be a princess when she grows up~


well. i think i'll have to give up that occupation idea because i lack royal blood AND i don't know any princes...so i'm 0 for 2 in the prerequisites area.

HOWEVER.

it's okay because i have a new career path! or at least a path for the first semester of college! :D

i signed up for my classes promptly at midnight last night, as soon as i could :) and i got all the classes i want! they are:

.contemporary dance technique & theory 2.
.book of mormon.
.american heritage.
.intro to english language.
.spanish 206.
.student leadership development.

AH!
i'm seriously so excited.
only 47 more days til i start COLLEGE.
that is a beautiful thought :)

but for now, i'll continue to enjoy my summer...
hanging out with friends every night!
tonight i made new friends: cody and blake and nicole.
and then with them and josh and landon, we all sang while cody used his guitar skills :)
it was a fun night :)
